About the Item

SWEETNESS is a contemporary pop sculpture by Vera Vizzi combining foam clay, enamel, acrylic markers and fir wood into a compact, whimsical composition. Measuring 18 × 18 × 13 cm, the piece features a conical form reminiscent of soft serve or pastry decoration, perched atop a textured pastel-pink base. The wooden surface is partially coated in dripping enamel and delicately illustrated with a stylised ribbon motif, introducing a narrative element that blurs the line between object and ornament. Echoing the artist’s own statement—“If thoughts melt away, let us make rivulets of color, designs and ornaments to make our living more joyful”—SWEETNESS operates as both sculptural form and metaphor. This small-scale work reflects Vizzi’s broader investigation into materiality, memory and the emotional charge of visual symbols, positioned within a pop-surrealist sensibility. Its palette and texture lend it strong potential for interior display as an accent piece within contemporary design environments. Mixed-Media Wall Sculpture foam clay, acrylic enamel on wood. "In a While"
By Vera Vizzi
Located in FISTERRA, ES
IN A WHILE (2025) is a small-scale, wall-mounted mixed-media sculpture by Vera Vizzi that transforms a familiar domestic object into a sculptural encounter. Hand-modeled in foam clay and applied onto a compact wooden block (25 x 9 x 10 cm), the work is finished with layered acrylic paint and enamel marker decoration along the extruded “tube” form. The piece foregrounds tactile surface, color contrast (white base with red/yellow graphic motifs) and a vertical, relief-like silhouette that reads equally as objet d’art or a focused accent on a gallery wall. Conceptually the work frames an everyday action — squeezing a tube — as a compressed temporal event: small gestures that compress time and meaning. Keywords for search and contextualisation: mixed media on wood, foam clay sculpture, enamel and acrylic, wall sculpture, small contemporary sculpture...

Candy Trip - Resin Sculpture Pop Art
By Alben
Located in New York, NY
Cheeky references to pop culture and the societal context. Grounded in a postmodern vernacular, Alben’s paintings and sculptures are a pastiche of art historical moments including Pop and Classical art. Interested in street art, the self-taught artist references an array of cultural touchstones in his densely layered, often stencil-sprayed paintings; his allusions include corporate mascots, historical figures, actors, comic book characters, and artists. His sculpture similarly embraces popular culture, though it is also directly influenced by the work of the French artist Arman, who exhibited commercial objects as sculpture in the 1960s. Similarly insisting that popular culture and aesthetic production are linked, Alben inverts Arman’s structure by reimagining touchstones of art history such as the Venus de Milo as a configuration of crushed Coke cans
