About the Item
"Classical theme of a Greek art inspires me. I am a big fan of a Greek mythology, so I depict it often". This sculpture shows beautiful woman in wet fabrics that emphasize body curves. She is like Venus, who came out form the water - divine and restrained, calm and very confident. The silhouette is the dispatch of ancient Greek caryatid. The example of nude art without nudity.
the sculpture was created in the early period of Radionov`s career. The author's style was subordinated to the then current situation in the USSR - realism. Now this work can be classified as Vintage
Born in 1954. 1976-1982 – graduated National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture, Department of sculpture.
2001 – Awarded with a title of Honored Artist of Ukraine. Work as a sculptor for more then 40 years. Participated exhibitions and fairs locally and worldwide. Had about 15 solo art shows While studying, Radionov worked as an assistant in National Opera Theater of Ukraine. Lives in Kyiv, Ukraine.
