The sculpture "Ulysses" was exhibited in the solo show “Epic” from 2013. This exhibition, as the artist confessed, “is about Ulysses and I, Alexandru Rădvan, about the strong relationship between us. For me, Ulysses is not a mythological character, he really exists, he is alive and lives in me since I was a child and I was being read from the book «The Adventures of Ulysses»”.
The total identification of the artist Alexandru Rădvan with the Ulysses character generates an ample series of drawings, cement reliefs, paintings and large size sculptures. They underline a personal odyssey which reflects the moral and physical portrait, their deeds and relations regarding the environment in relative objectivity.

Zsolt Berszán’s work speaks of repulsion and fascination and at the same time speaks about shapes that lie on the border between hallucination and obsession wherein the identity and order were disrupted.
Themes such as the double and the metamorphosis, otherwise put, themes of atrophied characters are all representations of the abject.
Berszán’s creation is located at the fine border between the representation of identity and its dissolution thusly aiming to represent the non-symbolized. The dynamic separation and the transitional object...
