About the Item

Here for your consideration is an original beautifully patinated solid bronze standing female nude by the Bulgarian/American artist, Ana Ranguel Daltchev. Incised artist signature on the base “ANA”. Condition is excellent. Circa 1975. Provenance: A Sarasota, Florida collector. Biography: Ana Ranguel Daltchev (1926-2022) Ana Ranguel Daltchev, Bulgarian/American sculptor. She was born January 25, 1926 in Sofia, Bulgaria. She received her Master of Arts, Higher Institute Visual Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1952. She emigrated to the United States in 1979 with her husband, the world renowned sculptor and professor Lubomir Daltchev. Her achievements include a half century dedicated to research and creation of new feminine forms in sculpture. Selected Biennale Internazionale dell' Arte Conteporanea, Italy. Member San Francisco Museum Modern Arts, Women in Arts. Ana Ranguel Daltchev has been listed as a noteworthy sculptor by Marquis Who's Who. She passed away aged 96 in 2022 in Sunnyvale, California.
