About the Item
A delightful sculptural set of small musical cat figures in steel, "Musical Cats / Band of Musical Cats," mounted on a burl wood base with an ebonized profile. This piece depicts a whimsical band of cats playing various instruments, crafted around the 1980s by the prestigious Spanish jewelry company Aryentis. The group comprises five finely sculpted steel figures: five cats playing different instruments—a drummer, a pianist, a guitarist, a bassist, and a singer. The drum kit is inscribed with the name "Cats," and the piano is marked "steel." It comes in its original box, lined with white silk, ensuring safe packaging and shipping. It is in excellent condition for its age and use. The set is displayed under a glass dome, which both enhances its beauty and protects it. These types of collectibles became very popular during the 1970s and 80s, fueled by the pop culture of the era.
