About the Item
This sculpture is one of a kind piece, no other one exists, and it was realized in 1980 by the well known Italian artist Bruno Chersicla.
This is a kinetic abstract sculpture, most of the artworks of Chersicla are dinamic and they change their form by moving the position of the mobile parts of it and changing the point of view.
His work has been widely influenced by the Bauhaus, the Futurism and by the Abstract Art philosophy.
Bruno Chersicla was born in Trieste, Italy, in 1937. He lived and worked near Milano, Italy.
Painter and sculptor, he was graduated in the State Art Institut and attended the Conservatory in his town. He exhibited his first painting very young, in 1958. During the 60’ was one of the leaders of the Italian Vanguard in the group “Raccordosei” and took part of the activities of Arte Viva. In the second part of his life, he realized also some scenographies for the important Piccolo Teatro in Milan. His works can be found in a great number of prestigious public and private collections in Italy and abroad.
