About the Item

Araña Noir, created in collaboration with Panorammma Atelier, extends the language of the larger sculpture within the series. Carved from black marble, this smaller form echoes the same primal tension and organic vocabulary, offering an intimate scale through which to approach the work’s broader themes. Its compact, rounded body suggests a creature held between emergence and retreat, maintaining the ambiguity that defines the series. The polished surface carries a quiet sensuality, hinting at instinct and memory without insisting on a singular interpretation. Rather than demanding attention, Araña Noir functions as a subtle counterpoint, a quieter threshold into the world the artist constructs, where the boundaries between human, animal, and unconscious terrain begin to blur. In this more intimate register, the sculpture becomes a discreet reflective surface, inviting the viewer to sense the wildness that underpins the larger work while acknowledging its own modest presence within the constellation of pieces.
