About the Item
After Francois-Joseph Bosio (French, 1768-1845) "Henry IV of France" Patinated Bronze Sculpture, late 19th century, depicted as a child, on a square base, inscribed "Bosio". 46" H x 16" W x 14" D. Note: A plaster model was first exhibited at the 1822 Salon with much acclaim. A marble as well as a silver copy were commissioned circa 1824 by the Maison du Roi to be placed in Louis XVIII's cabinet at the Tuileries.
