About the Item
This piece presents a fly reimagined through digital fabrication. Designed and 3D-printed with precise attention to form, surface, and color, the object blurs the boundary between nature and technology.
As the viewer moves around it, the surface subtly shifts in color, creating an iridescent effect that changes depending on the angle of view and the light. This dynamic quality enhances the sense of a living form, even as the object remains unmistakably artificial.
The fly - often overlooked or dismissed - becomes monumental here: frozen in motion, elevated from insect to artifact. Its iridescent tones and layered textures emphasize the tension between organic life and artificial creation, inviting the viewer to reconsider what is natural, what is manufactured, and what lies in between.
This work exists at the intersection of sculpture, design, and contemporary digital art, exploring how modern tools reshape our relationship with familiar forms.
Each piece is carefully produced and finished, intended as a collectible object rather than a functional item.
tzhaq Mevorah was born in 1971 in Tel Aviv, Israel to a family of artists, who started their way in the beginning of the century in Bulgaria. From a very young age Mevorah has decided to be an artist. In his own words: "The choice of going in an artistic path was strongly impacted by the major injury my father has gone through when he was in a war. I was 11 years old when it happened, and from that moment on I had decided that I am going to paint. I have decided that from that point I will paint my life with the colors that I will choose and not with the colors of grief. My father died few years after his injury." Mevorah finished in 1999 his studies in Avni Institute of Art and Design in Tel Aviv.
The artist describes his style as "Neo-Pop" and wishes to combine in his art his love for the design world alongside his skills as an artist. In his work he takes inspiration from his personal experience and from observing the world around him. " I choose a subject while experiencing cultural, spiritual, or actual experiences that meets me in my everyday life, and I try to combine them with the known motives I always use in my artwork." says Mevorah. The artist works adorns public spaces, offices and privet collections in Israel and around the world.

Bucranium - Surreal Sculpture, Animal Sculpture, Green Metal and Resin Sculpture
By Angelo Canevari
Located in New York, NY
Angelo Canevari’s Bucranium is a 34 x 19 inch mix media surrealist sculpture. It is made of metal, resin, green automotive paint, and cardboard. It is a surrealist interpretation of the carved decoration, representing ox-skulls, commonly used in Classical architecture for the friezes of Doric temples. The same motif was also later used on Renaissance, Baroque and Neoclassical buildings. Canevari's contemporary interpretation is evident in the medium he chose to shape this artwork and yet it maintains the same commanding and monumental presence of the classical monuments that have inspired it.. The use of metal and wires to develop a tridimensional sculptural quality, as well as the expressionistic outcome of the imagery, has echoes in some contemporary African sculpture...
