About the Item
Pink Kioveo is a polymer sheathed with crocodile skin sculpture by contemporary artist Jacques Owczarek, dimensions are 17 × 30 × 13 cm (6.7 × 11.8 × 5.1 in).
The sculpture is signed and numbered, it is part of a limited edition of 8 editions + 4 artist’s proofs, and comes with a certificate of authenticity.
A sequence of lines, edges, and curves give shape to this polymer hippopotamus covered in pink crocodile skin. The silhouette and head of the animal are distinguishable features. The sculpture's geometric aspect and shape clarity, however, are what give the artist's interpretation its peculiarity. Sufficient components to render this sculpture singular.
Jacques Owczarek has no formal education. He believes that he was truly born when he discovered sculpture at the age of 30. He works diligently and meticulously to create each piece, always striving for perfection. He never begins a piece with a preconceived notion of an animal; instead, everything comes together as he works on it.

Jacques Owczarek
Jacques Owczarek’s sculptures oscillate between figuration and abstraction, redefining the genre of animal sculpture. In his bronze bestiary, the artist favours purity of form, synthesising it in a distinct, highly original style. He allows himself to be guided by his intuitions, creating animals with dynamic, geometric lines that give an impression of movement to static matter. Jacques Owczarek has exhibited at some of the most prestigious international shows and fairs for almost 20 years. “For me, the animal is just a pretext, a pretext for shapes that will question, for volumes that will live, that will settle, that will take possession of the place, that will evolve in a direction that I will give them because they impose themselves on me.’’

Beautiful pink Murano glass decorative statue made in the 1950s by a great Italian master glassmaker.
The sculpture represents the figure of a very pretty turtle in a very beautiful light pink colour.
The figure is stylised: in fact, we can distinguish the head, four legs, tail and shell, but the actual details cannot be distinguished, a very good sculpture.
The shell is all pink...
