About the Item

Lorri Acott is a critically acclaimed American sculptor whose impressionistic figurative works are held in prominent private and public collections throughout the United States and abroad. Known for her lyrical approach to the human form, Acott’s work explores universal themes of hope, connection, transformation, and healing. Her figures — often rendered in expressive gesture and stylized proportions — evoke emotional resonance, inviting viewers to see themselves in shared human experience. Based in the mountains of Colorado, Acott draws inspiration from her surroundings and from deep, personal reflection. With her husband, Adam Schultz, she co-founded Dream Big Sculpture, a studio dedicated to creating large-scale public art commissions that enhance community identity and accessibility. Her recent public art installations include Lighting the Way (7 ft, Mason City, Iowa), Spirit of Renewal (22 ft, Phoenix, Arizona) — a transformative work celebrating community renewal — Conversation with Myself (11 ft, Fort Collins Museum of Discovery), and Peace for the City of Greeley, Colorado. Peace was selected by the Michigan ACLU as art with world-changing impact and honored by World Citizens Artists. Acott’s permanent public projects span numerous states, including Arkansas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Her work continues to reach new audiences, connecting people through shared visual language and emotional depth
