About the Item

Instant Moules II is a nickeled aluminium and bronze sculpture by contemporary Czech sculptor Ondřej Oliva, dimensions are 360 × 40 × 34 cm (141.7 × 15.7 × 13.4 in). This sculpture is a unique piece signed by the artist and comes with a certificate of authenticity. The specified dimensions include the aluminum circular base, which measures 34 cm in diameter. This base features four holes that allow it to be securely fixed to the ground or a foundation. Please note that the larger black circular base shown in the photos is not a permanent part of the sculpture. With a diameter of 80 cm and made of metal, it serves as an optional support element to enhance stability when direct floor mounting is not possible. In this aluminium sculpture, which resembles a column or totem, mollusc shells are gracefully arranged along a vertical, winding structure. A bronze element, a cluster of mussels positioned around the centre, stands out due to its distinct colouration. Ondrej Oliva, a Czech sculptor, draws inspiration for his works from both the natural and everyday objects that surround us. He often returns to familiar objects, such as foods, to produce new works that are rich in allusions and allusions. Ondej uses bronze or aluminium to give his works a long-term perspective, so the material selection is crucial.  A similar sculpture, in a smaller or larger size, can be custom-made upon request. Please reach out for further information.
