Expressive bronze female figure sculpture cast from direct paper models, exploring identity, intellect, and the symbolic inversion of the female body. Muller Nube, Cloud Woman, is a unique sculptural work by Spanish sculptor Óscar Aldonza Torres, whose practice combines figurative expressionism with experimental casting processes and conceptual depth.
In this sculpture, the traditional representation of the female form—historically linked to eroticized and idealized beauty—is deliberately subverted. The head is replaced by a large, cloud-like volume derived from crumpled paper, shifting the symbolic center of the body from physical appearance to intellect and thought. The hollowed abdomen, an unexpected outcome of the casting process, reinforces this conceptual displacement, evoking prehistoric Venus figures while denying their conventional association with fertility.
The work is cast directly from paper without intermediate molds, a research-driven technique developed by the artist that allows no corrections and embraces chance as a generative force. This process produces raw surfaces, structural irregularities, and an intense material presence, making each sculpture irreproducible. Óscar Aldonza Torres
Óscar Aldonza Torres (Santiago de Compostela) is a Spanish sculptor working in ceramic, bronze, and mixed media. He studied Volume Techniques at EASD Mestre Mateo, earned a BA in Fine Arts from the University of Seville, and completed an MA in Art Heritage Management at the University of Santiago de Compostela. His work has been exhibited in Spain, Portugal, and France, including the Salon d’Automne in Paris, O Rectángulo de Ouro in Portugal, MIHL Museum in Lugo, and Galería Sabor a Menta in Santiago.
Aldonza’s practice is rooted in expressive, process-driven sculpture, where the human figure emerges through direct modeling, material experimentation, and a strong interest in emotional tension and psychological interiority.

Born on 27 May 1985 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. From 2005 to 2011 studied at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, at the Faculty of "Fine Arts" specialty "Easel and monumental sculpture." Now studying postgraduate at Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Works are in private collections in Ukraine, Israel, Germany, USA, Australia, Finland, Holland, Spain, Belgium, England.
