The Story:
In "Strolling," Taiwanese artist Ser Uang Huang captures a figure yielding gracefully to the elements. The sculpture depicts a character leaning playfully to the side, embodied by the artist's poetic inspiration for the piece:
"The breeze blows gently. When the wind comes, I lean to the side. When the wind comes again, I smile again. It turns out, The breeze understands me best."
Ser Uang Huang is a master of capturing fleeting moments of happiness and simplicity. He uses the "leaving the knife marks" technique on the body of the figure, creating a rugged, rhythmic texture that contrasts beautifully with the finely polished, glowing face.
