Charming and uncommon cast-iron folk art figure depicting a young black boy riding atop an alligator, rendered in vibrant hand-painted colors and cast in two joined halves typical of early 20th-century American foundries.
Produced circa 1920–1940, the piece reflects the whimsical novelty figurines and souvenir castings sold throughout the American South during the early part of the century.
