"Bambara Queen, Rep. Mali" is a carved wood sculpture with abstracted human and animal figures. 20" x 6" x 3" The Bambara are a Mande ethnic group native to West Africa, primarily southern Mali, Guineam Burkina Faso and Senegal. The Bamana people adapted many artistic traditions. Artworks were created both for religious use and to define cultural and religious difference.
