About the Item
Exceptional pair of fish of Chinese origin sculpted in a single block of red jasper. The use of red jasper in these pieces not only adds beauty, but also gives them a symbolic meaning, since in many cultures, this stone is associated with vitality, strength and protection, which fits perfectly with the image of fish, symbols of fluidity, abundance and constant movement. The polished finish of the stone and its natural veins enhance its nuances, while the detailed carving on the fins and scales creates a contrast between the smooth and rough surfaces. The yellow eyes contrast with the body and increase the realism.
