About the Item
"Goodfellas" is comprised of 3 individual white statues that are meant to be presented as a trio. They are part of a limited edition of 25 of which this is number 9. Each individual statue is 37" x 14" x 14" and weighs approx 15-20lbs, created from lightweight but durable cast polyurethane. The sculptures are easy to reposition/move from room to room to surprise, delight, and elicit maximum effect.
In German, the meaning of the word "Niemand" ranges from "nobody", "none", and "no one" to "anybody". Apply that to Viktor's unique sculptures and a dose of humor and social commentary fuses with a meditation on the human ego.
Much of the artist's work is autobiographical and contains references to family, self, and music (he still has a band with which he performs) - an unselfconscious examination of his life and loves. Viktor's signature Niemands, displayed at numerous museums overseas and in hotel and private collections worldwide, come in multiple formats that give us access to our petulant, inner toddlers.
