An anatomical maquette of Houdon's l'Écorche (Flayed Man), after the original completed in 1767 while Houdon was a student in Rome, and the basis for his sculpture of Saint John the Baptist now in the Galleria Borghese, Rome. From a Private Collection, Washington, D.C. 20th century, Long Island City, New York, incised "Sculpture House" mark to base, numbered 1003, with removable arm. #not signed framed rare large provenance certified fine
