Bouval " old edition cast presented on its original light green Campan marble base France circa 1900-1905 height 68 cm height with base 75,5 cm diameter of the marble base 24,5 cm Biography : Maurice Bouval (1863-1916) was a French sculptor in the Art Nouveau style. A student of Alexandre Falguière, Maurice Bouval created a large number of bronze statues and decorative objects (candlesticks, candelabras, light fixtures, inkwells) between 1880 and the First World War. He participated in the 1900 Universal Exhibition in Paris. He was a member of the Society of French Artists. His works include: Ophelia, Seated Woman, Sleep, Woman with Poppies, The Secret, and The Pensive.
