About the Item

In order to maintain sales with our USA customers, I have had to reduce all prices by 20%, to offset the tariffs placed upon South Africa. This bronze rhino head sculpture has been dedicated to celebrate “Storm”. Storm is an orphan rhino, raised in captivity. “Storm” and “Wyntir” were orphaned when poachers killed their respective mothers while they were still very young calves. Wyntir and Storm underwent extensive care and rehabilitation before entering the Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary rewilding and release programme. Storm and Wyntir are now proud parents of Blizzy, the first rhino calf in history born from orphaned rhino parents. We offer a wide range of bronze sculptures, which have been carefully designed for the discerning collector. We used the “lost wax” technique in casting, which is the preferred method, as it brings out every little detail of the original sculpture. The sculpture has the name "Storm" cast into the back of the sculpture. We actively support the Care For Wild Rhino Sanctuary, and donate a portion of the sale of this sculpture to them. We collaborated directly with the CFWR founder and CEO Mrs. Petronel Niewoudt in the development of this sculpture.

Bronze Rhino Bust Sculpture
By Heinrich Filter Bronze Art
Located in Pretoria, Gauteng
The Black Rhino is one of Africa’s most formidable creatures, yet also among its most vulnerable. This bronze bust, finished in a deep blue verdigris patina, captures the raw strength and weathered dignity of the rhino’s head, its horn thrust forward like a spear forged by evolution. I first sketched this piece in the field when all I could see was a rhino’s head emerging through the thicket—an unforgettable impression of power and presence. The rhino’s horn, once its ultimate defense, has tragically become the very reason for its decline. In this sculpture, that paradox is frozen in bronze: resilience and fragility bound together. Set on a sandstone base, the piece is both a tribute and a reminder—of nature’s grandeur and mankind’s responsibility to protect it. Black Rhino Bust, Bronze Rhino Sculpture...
