Sculptural Oriented Meteorite
Located in London, GB
Oriented Chondrite Meteorite Circa 4.56 Billion y/o
Chondrite
24 x 20 cm, 28 cm tall on base
7.1 kg
A sculptural and beautifully weathered chondrite meteorite; upon entering the atmosphere, this extraterrestrial stone would have heated the surrounding air to a temperature of over 1700 C, higher than that of the hottest lava on the planet, and enough to melt away its outer layers, leaving its surface rippled with regmaglypts, thumb-shaped impressions formed as superheated rock streaked off of the main body as it careened toward the earth. The last layer of the rock to melt would have re-solidified as the meteorite made impact, forming a charcoal coloured fusion crust, which has taken on a deep ochre-tinted patina.
Chondrite meteorites such as this example were formed at the very beginning of our solar system, by the accretion of various types of dust and small grains, adrift in the vacuum of space and, as such, provide important clues about the birth of our own planet. This piece is an especially rare specimen, known as an oriented meteorite...

Genuine Sericho Pallasite Meteorite
Located in New York, NY
This luminous Sericho pallasite meteorite slice offers a captivating view into the early solar system. Dating back approximately 4.5 billion years, this stony-iron meteorite was discovered in Kenya and officially recognized in 2016, although the fall is believed to have occurred decades earlier.
This Sericho slice features a mosaic of orange and green Olivine – the gem variety of Peridot – suspended in a gleaming iron-nickel matrix. Especially when backlit, the Olivine crystals radiate with striking transparency and color.
Pallasites make up less than 1% of all known meteorites and are among the rarest and most beautiful of extraterrestrial materials. Thought to originate from disrupted asteroids in the early solar system, specimens like this one likely formed at the boundary between a molten metal core and a silicate-rich mantle – or through high-energy impacts between differentiated bodies. This meteorite slice offers a literal cross-section of planetary formation and destruction.
A true standout for any meteorite, mineral, or space memorabilia...

“This interior section of the Seymchan pallasite displays its two primary constituents – olivine that crystallized in the lower mantle of a differentiated asteroid and metallic iron-nickel derived from the top of the molten asteroid core. The pallasite was found in 1967 among rocks in the bed of a brook flowing into a river in Russia.”

Spectacular Oriented Meteorite
Located in London, GB
Oriented Stone Meteorite
Circa 4.5 Million y/o
Chrondrite
Detached from its parent body by a mighty impact, this large, oriented meteorite travelled over a hundred million miles through space before falling to Earth in the North African desert. The cone-shaped nose is covered in beautiful regmaglypts which radiate from its apex. These elongated dimples formed when streaks of superheated molten rock streamed off the meteor’s surface as it blazed through the atmosphere. The entire piece is coated in a glossy, umber-coloured fusion crust and close examination reveals remnants of encrusted, orange dirt. A faint greyish-white shadow runs across one side, indicating where it sat, partially buried in the desert sands.
Whilst most meteors tumble as they travel through the Earth’s atmosphere, oriented meteorites maintain a stable trajectory as they fall, their domed shape created by the intense heat of atmospheric entry. This phenomenon is extremely rare, with less than one percent of meteorites falling in this way.
“This is a complete individual of an unclassified chondrite found in Northwest Africa. The conical shape and flow lines of melt on the specimen show that, unlike 99% of meteorites, this piece retained a constant orientation as it plunged through the Earth’s atmosphere. The characteristic shapes of such rare oriented stones were used as models to design the reentry capsules of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo space...
