Extremely good quality, of tubular form with finely cast gilt artichoke end finials having corded pulleys, retaining their original gilt brackets and pulley knobs. Three examples at 5ft 3 1/2 inches (161cm), one example at 5ft 8 1/2 inches (173cm) and one at 5ft 10 1/2 inches (179cm), Width / Diameter 3 inches 7.5cm, all bearing the original paper labels indicating they were once part of the furnishings at Downing Street.

The pillow is about 17 inches square and is very well made.
The decoration features a central square hand embroidered wool-work panel of flowers and foliage in varying shades of red, pink, green and yellow all against a black ground, with a deep red silk outer border.
