International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA)
International Fine Print Dealers Association (IFPDA)

Launched in 1987, the International Fine Print Dealers Association has continually set the bar for quality and ethics while promoting prints as original works of art to generations of collectors, curators and art lovers. With over 160 members in 13 countries, the IFPDA is a worldwide community of leading dealers and editions publishers who represent the full spectrum of printmaking. Each year, the IFPDA hosts the IFPDA Print Fair in New York, the only major fair dedicated to fine-art prints.

Oscar - SIgned limited edition print, Oversize, Contemporary, Lobster, Shellfish
By Ian Sanderson
Located in Sant Cugat del Vallès, Barcelona
Oscar - Signed limited edition archival pigment print, Edition of 5 Named Oscar the time to photograph him, this lobster returned to live in the sea... No animals were mistreated during the photoshoot. This print that is being offered is a high-quality Archival Pigment print which has been printed on fiber-based paper ( Hahnemühle Photo Rag® Baryta 315 gsm which is a premium quality paper that is acid-free and lignin-free). The combination of high-quality paper and inks ensures that the print will remain in pristine condition for many years, making it a great investment for any art collector or enthusiast. It is a popular alternative to analogue baryta paper, which is known for its ability to produce rich, deep blacks and vibrant colors. Signed + numbered by artist with certificate of authenticity, unframed Please note. There are three sizes of this archival pigment print ; each is an edition of five (5) making the total that can be printed as fifteen (15). This will include any custom sizes requested Available sizes ( Image size , the white margin is not counted): 39 x 35 cm / 15,35" x 13,77" - Edition of 5 60 x 67 cm / 23,62" x 26,38" - Edition of 5 102 x 91 cm / 40,15" x 35,82" - Edition of 5 Ian Sanderson (born 1951 Scotland, died 2020 Spain) was a Scottish photographer. He produced images over a 35 year career, and in recent years used archival techniques to produce his prints. For most of his career he worked as both a Commercial and Fine Art photographer, and during his last years concentrated on his personal imagery. Towards the end of his life journey, Ian was reviving with his partner two 19th century printing techniques in their studio, Platinum Palladium and Gum Bichromate ( one-of-a-kind pieces). This culminated in a large retrospective exhibition in Barcelona which was sponsored by the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation. The Platinum and Palladium prints are particularly interesting as they printed them onto vellum paper therefore transparent and bonded pure gold or silver to the back of the prints ( every print is therefore a unique and timeless piece of art). They have created rare and personalized pieces with an artisanal technique. Ian Sanderson was one of only a handful of artists worldwide producing this type of work. Nowadays, Ian’s partner continues their work, she’s still creating Platinum Palladium prints but also silver gelatin photographs. Styles: Colour photography, 21st century, Archival print, Long room, kitchen decorative...

Sennen
Located in New Orleans, LA
Sennen is a new study, and the first in a series of works based around a loose grid of interlocking circular forms. This impression is #20 in an edition of 24. The work takes on some of the language of artists such as Sonia Delaunay and Sarah Morris, who both use flat geometric grids as the basis for many of their studies. I’ve taken that idea and built it up into something more complex and textured, that I hope is redolent of a landscape, or perhaps just a dreamlike imagining of a landscape, filtered as ever through the digital, and its ability to layer and distort form. Chuck Elliott (b. 1967, Camberwell, London) is a pioneer of digitally generated art. He claims to have used the first Apple Macintosh...

XGEN 2
Located in New Orleans, LA
XGen 2 / chromatic variation 5 is taken from a new set of drawings designed to explore, and riff on, the energy contained within a simple X form. I hope the edition captures some of the kinetic energy and life contained within the essence of the original form too. This is impression #23, a ten color pigment print on Hahnemuhle 340 gsm photo paper. The study builds on a simple X shaped grid that generates the underlying drawing, which I overlaid with experimental mark making, building up layers of texture and colour to work the piece up into something a little more painterly than many of my previous editions have been. I like the idea that the ink seems quite fluid, but also sits on a fairly rigid geometric grid. That combination would be hard to achieve off system I think, and as ever, I really enjoy seeing if I can make the digital speak with a little more soul, and just generally feel more haptic than might otherwise be the case. A lot of the joy, for me, is in the unexpected overlaps and misalignments in the final drawings. I feel there’s something of Sean Scully’s style here too, I’m drawn to his works, but always with a slight scepticism. I tend to feel there’s something a little suspect about that bravura level of underworking, but really I think I’m just envious of the raw confidence he brings to his mark making! Chuck Elliott (b. 1967, Camberwell, London) is a pioneer of digitally generated art. He claims to have used the first Apple Macintosh...
