We are happy to offer this lovely hand-painted pair of First Period Worcester Porcelain dishes. They are decorated in the kakiemon palette mixing turquoise, green, and royal blue. The design shows chrysanthemum plants and branches of prunus blossoms. Completing the design are four cobalt blue panels each with an iron red chrysanthemum enhanced by gilded foliage. This pattern is known as the "Rich Queen's" or "Queen's Best". It was highly collected when it was first made circa 1765, and is still highly prized today.
