Addison Jones More Prints

Addison Jones is a world-class photographer and mixed-media artist based in the Midwest.
Jones uses her street art and mixed-media style to portray models from her own modern portrait photography. The result culminates in moody, sensual, and contemplative mixed-media art focusing on the humanity of the subject. Each of her pieces are original works.
Addison is known for layering her own photographs into complex street art and using the written word as a subtle texture feature. She utilizes silver and gold leaf, acrylics, and custom paints, including color changing, to add layers upon layers as she goes. In the end, it culminates in a piece that is viewed as a complex whole.
Jones begins each piece with a photograph from her own portfolio, and then free flows through each element, drawing inspiration as she works. She often says that her style often leads to mistakes that later become some of the best parts of the piece.

“As I walked back through the fields of my grandparents' farm before we sold it, a sense of nostalgia washed over me. Memories of my childhood flooded back, reminding me of the simpler times when I would visit Grandpa in his cabinet wood shop or swing on the porch with Grandma, watching the hummingbirds feed. Life was all about the simple moments, and while I often got bored, it forced me to contrast constant stimulation with a state of peace and freedom.
This boredom expanded my creativity in different ways.”

Frank Schott was born in Germany where he spends nights shooting the great bands and musicians of the 80s, while attending the Academy of Arts in Cologne under Professor Arno Jansen.
His early photography work focuses on beauty and fashion, later evolving to include conceptual landscapes and large scale environments, while never losing the eye for details.
In 1998 Frank moves to California. He draws inspiration from the epic landscapes and distinct architecture of the American West as much as from his travels abroad.
Edition EKTAlux offers an evolving curated selection of collectable large-scale photography in strictly limited editions, while working closely with each artist to guarantee state-of-the-art museum level print and framing quality.
