Al Diaz Portrait Paintings
American, b. 1959
Al Diaz is an influential, first generation New York City graffiti artist, who later became a text oriented street artist whose career spans 5 decades. Diaz is best known for his collaboration with Jean Michel Basquiat on SAMO(c), graffiti that appeared in lower Manhattan from 1977 to 1979. SAMO(c) initially known for its wit and sarcastic humor, became a globally recognized graffito after Basquiat’s rise to fame. Diaz currently works with the WET PAINT
Service Change Alert signs used throughout the New York City subway system — cutting out individual letters from multiple signs to create clever, surreal and sometimes poignant anagrams. The reworked signage is then posted back onto subway walls.
His earlier WET PAINT work is featured in Nicholas Ganz’s new book “Street Messages”. Diaz exhibits regularly and has been a featured speaker on a variety of panel discussions, including at The New School, The Museum of the City of New York, NOLA Arts Festival in New Orleans, and The New York Public Library as part of a discussion panel on the Basquiat Notebooks. Al Diaz lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.to

Meme Money 000: Goochi Sponge,
by XVALA, Mixed Media Painting
By XVALA
Located in Oklahoma City, OK
In this mixed media 24"x24" painting by XVALA, 'Meme Money 000: Goochi Sponge,' the artist colorfully plays with the 'Gucci' brand in tandem with the childhood cartoon series, SpongeBob. SpongeBob as a Goochi sponge takes center stage with orange glasses glasses in a palette of purple, green, and red on a fuschia pink background.
XVALA's art illuminates the hidden fallout spawned from our high tech Internet age. His Fear Google campaign exposed the decay of privacy and No Delete used hacked nude celebrity photos to highlight loss of control over personal information. The artist has worked with trash from the homes of Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, and others, as well as dirt from the graves of George Orwell and Aldous Huxley. The dirt appears in the New World Order collection as part of a pyramidal, 3D printed, living ant farm...

Ocean of Conversations, I Wonder What Speaks Beneath
Located in Ibadan, Oyo
At first glance, the central figure seated on the couch draws our attention. His posture suggests a moment of introspection, an invitation for viewers to peer into his internal world. The placement of the bottle of alcohol at his feet immediately introduces a layer of symbolism, hinting at the potential for inner turmoil and emotional struggles.
The artwork encapsulates the notion that some of the most significant conversations we engage in are not the ones with others but the dialogues we have with ourselves. The inner voice, often unacknowledged but constantly present, plays a pivotal role in shaping our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. Whether we are conscious of it or not, our self-talk influences our perception of the world, our self-esteem, and our overall well-being.
Adetayo's portrayal deftly captures the spectrum of self-talk. On one end, the inner dialogue can be a source of positivity and empowerment, much like a guiding light illuminating our path. These self-affirming conversations inspire us, boost our confidence, and encourage us to pursue our dreams. Just as sunlight glistens on the ocean's surface, these moments of self-assuredness infuse our lives with brilliance and hope.
On the other hand, the presence of the alcohol bottle suggests a darker side to self-talk. Just as the ocean's depths can conceal hidden currents, negative self-talk can be equally concealed, festering below the surface. The artwork serves as a cautionary tale, reminding us that unchecked negativity can erode our self-confidence and well-being. This juxtaposition underscores the importance of cultivating a conscious and compassionate inner dialogue.
"Ocean of Conversations, I Wonder What Speaks Beneath" stands as a mirror reflecting our own inner landscapes. It prompts us to consider the conversations we engage in with ourselves—do we uplift and motivate or do we undermine and doubt? Adetayo's creation invites us to reflect on our own patterns of self-talk and the ways in which they shape our experiences.

Urbex is the English acronym for urban exploration and is an activity that consists of searching for and locating abandoned infrastructure with the goal of visiting, photographing and conveying its contents, with particular involvement of methodologies from geography, anthropology, sociology to cultural studies.
Her works have been in the past approached to the works of Anselm Kiefer (b. 1945) and Giovanni Battista Piranesi (1720-1770), but in Gullotta's paintings the absence of color makes the spaces particularly ethereal, allowing them to be ideally lifted to new places and to new life.
An artist of international caliber who has decided to entrust her return to her homeland to Almach Art Gallery in Milan, while maintaining connections with important galleries, such as Marlborough Fine Art in London and Galerie Koch in Hanover.
The artwork represents the famous Velasca Tower in Milan.

"Innocence" is a captivating artwork that evokes a sense of empathy and reflection. The central figure, a woman, stands as a representation of someone who has been wrongly accused and unfairly painted with guilt. Oladapo's skilled brushwork brings forth the emotions of sorrow, pain, and resilience, creating a visually striking piece.
The woman's expression carries a mix of sadness and determination, reflecting the weight of the false accusations. The use of vibrant red in the painting symbolizes the intense emotions and turmoil she has experienced. The artist's attention to detail, particularly in capturing the subtle nuances of her facial expression, adds depth and authenticity to the artwork.
"Innocence" highlights the profound impact that false accusations can have on an individual's life and psyche. The emphasis on being "painted red" with lies alludes to the damaging effect of baseless accusations, which can tarnish one's reputation and cause immense pain.
The artwork also emphasizes the resilience and strength required to maintain one's truth in the face of adversity. The woman's unwavering gaze and the determination in her expression portray her refusal to be defined by false accusations. She stands as a symbol of the human spirit's ability to rise above injustice and assert one's innocence.
Through "Innocence," Oladapo reminds us of the importance of embracing our authenticity and standing firm in our truth, even when faced with unfounded allegations. It urges viewers to question the validity of accusations and to seek justice and understanding, both for themselves and others who may have experienced similar hardships.
