Alexandr Kryushyn is a professional painter. He studied at the Kharkov Academy of Design and Arts. Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine. In his work, Alexandr combines the traditions of the European school of painting with a bright author's emotional manner of implementation. The artist has a great experience of painting on the plein air, and this allows him to masterfully work in color. Each picture of the author has a unique composition and color mood. Cherry Blossom Dream by Sophia Chalklen is an original painting. One day I was sat looking up at a cherry blossom tree and thought how beautiful it looked from that angle. I took a photo and had to paint it. The beautiful light breaking through made it even more beautiful. I have used various metallic pink leaf as well as 24ct gold leaf on the trunk to create that extra sparkle and magic as the light hits the painting. Due to the nature of the metallic leaf it looks different in different light.

Sophia studied at Winchester school of Art where she completed a BA specialising in Textile design.
