A New York Times article notes he was “known for designing dresses and pajamas that could be worn inside or outside the home.” He elevated his designs by using attractive colors and materials to give “at-home wear a less casual look.” For example, this loose-fitting caftan is comfortable enough to lounge in but its glimmering gold fabric is sure to make a statement. The dolman sleeves mirror the tapered body of the caftan. This silhouette offers a fitted-look without constricting the upper body. The long sleeves could be bunched up or worn down, depending on your tastes. This 1970s design is very much of its time, reflecting the disco and glam fashions of the decade.
