1975 Andrew Dasburg Color Lithograph, "Trees in Ranchitos II" Taos Modernist
By Andrew Michael Dasburg
Located in Denver, CO
"Trees in Ranchitos II" is a striking 1975 color lithograph by acclaimed modernist artist Andrew Michael Dasburg (1887–1979). This collectible artwork, initialed in the lower right, beautifully captures the serene landscapes of New Mexico, reflecting Dasburg’s signature fusion of Post-Impressionism and Cubist influences. The composition conveys the tranquil rhythm of trees and desert terrain, combining geometric abstraction with lyrical naturalism. The lithograph is presented in a custom frame measuring 30 ½ x 36 ¼ inches, with an image size of 16 ½ x 23 ¼ inches, making it a sophisticated and visually compelling addition to any collection of Taos Modernist art, American modernism, or Southwestern landscape prints. About Andrew Michael Dasburg (1887–1979): Born in Paris, France, Dasburg immigrated to New York City in 1892, where his early talent was recognized. He trained at the Art Students League of New York under notable instructors including Robert Henri, Kenyon Cox, and Birge Harrison. In 1908, he returned to Paris and encountered the works of Henri Matisse and Paul Cézanne, experiences that ignited his lifelong commitment to modernism. After settling in Woodstock, NY, Dasburg immersed himself in the avant-garde scene, collaborating with Morgan Russell...

"Night Views" Silkscreen Print by The Skyscape Artist, 25/100
Located in Soquel, CA
"Night Views" Silkscreen Print by The Skyscape Artist, 25/100. By Tetsuro Sawada ( Japanese, 1933-1998) This raven black geometric abstraction focuses on hard-edged horizontal lines, color, and light, giving the impression of dusk through the "bokashi," or shading, technique, which is most difficult in the silkscreen medium, a good example of Sawada's theme of the infinite beyond, the silent emptiness of the universe. Signature in the bottom right corner reads, "T. Sawada '87," titled in the bottom center, "Night Views," and numbered, "25/100," in the bottom left corner. Presented in a new white mat. Paper size: 34"H x 22"W, Mat size: 39"H x 27"W Born in Hokkaido, Tetsuro Sawada (1933-1998, Japanese) graduated from Musashimo Art University where he majored in Western painting. In 1960, he began painting abstract oils...

César Domela (15 January 1900 – 30 December 1992) was a Dutch sculptor, painter, photographer, and typographer, and a key member of the De Stijl movement This is a very representative piece in a pure abstraction form. On light brown, thick woven, Arches paper. Bold saturated colors of mauve, red, white, and blue. César Domela was one of the most innovative and influential artists working in Europe during the mid-twentieth century. Initially becoming a prominent member of the De Stijl group with Mondrian and van Doesburg, Domela’s approach evolved into three dimensional abstraction described as “enriched Constructivism.” Domela’s exquisitely harmonious integration of materials forms a transcendent visual polyphony. Each individual material was chosen after extensive, almost obsessive, consideration to its unique physical properties of colour, texture, opacity, sheen, and what musicians refer to as “timbre”, the specific resonance. Domela favoured distinctive materials such as perspex, shagreen, sharkskin, copper, thuya and palmtree wood...
