Chésade Art
French, b. 1960
French sculptor Chésade mainly draws her inspiration from the animal and marine worlds. Her masterful bronze sculptures are deftly created, with the material enriched by fine detailing and enhanced with a luminous patina. The artist’s works therefore become “tactile landscapes” imbued with her poetic vision and able to convey the animals’ energy and essence. The sculptor has won two medals at the Paris National Maritime Museum Biennial (2009 and 2013) and a gold medal at the French National Animal Artists’ Fair in 2009. In 2012, her body of animal work was honoured when she was awarded the prestigious Sandoz prize.

ABOUT ARTIST
Born on 27 May 1985 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. From 2005 to 2011 studied at the Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts, at the Faculty of "Fine Arts" specialty "Easel and monumental sculpture." Now studying postgraduate at Kharkiv State Academy of Design and Arts. Works are in private collections in Ukraine, Israel, Germany, USA, Australia, Finland, Holland, Spain, Belgium, England.

ABOUT THE ARTIST
Huang Yulong was born in 1983 in Anhui Province, China. In 2007 he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture from the Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute in Jiangxi Province. As one of the new generation of Chinese artists and part of the ‘post-80s generation’ and ‘only child’ generation, Huang is strongly influenced by the phenomenon of foreign culture in China, which he combines with his fascination with pottery and the material world. Huang is best known for his sculptures of Buddhas in hoodies, displaying an exchange of Eastern tradition and Western contemporary style. He was selected by “Complex” as “25 Contemporary Chinese Artists You Need to Know” in 2013.
