Curtis Kulig Figurative Paintings
American, b. 1981

From GUCCI in Wonderland series
GUCCI in Wonderland series contains two parts.
First one, GUCCI in wonderland, is an inspiration that came to John Paul Fauves after doing a 10 piece collection of some Alessandro Michele art campaigns.
There was so much magic realism in the GUCCI brand and concept that transcended from being a clothing label to something more surreal. It is here when the artist decides to give a hold to his new collection for 2018 named "holy exit" and dive into this new world of colors and wonders.
The second part, Alice in Wonderland, represents the artist a world of fantasy and dreams. It seems as if the author Lewis Caroll could write like a dream.
The same concept of surrealism is what FAUVES feels about Gucci design and branding. It as if Gucci can design and create form the world of dreams, and this is what the artist wants to represent in his art GUCCI in wonderland.
ABOUT John Paul FAUVES:
John Paul Fauves (born in 1980) is a contemporary Artist from Costa Rica . His artistic journey started at a very young age after he became a student of Joaquin Rodriguez del Paso , one of the most important Costa Rican modern art tutors. John Paul spent 15 years studying and mastering his technique, and only a few years ago he finally started showcasing his work.
In his paintings he engages questions of identity as they relate to art history as well as our everyday interactions with mainstream culture and social media. Greatly inspired by modernist masters as wellas pop-artists, Fauves mixes fragments of different iconic images in vivid and colourful compositions. Of his experimental and high eclectic style, he says, “art is an expression from the soul, and the soul is somethinglimitless. This is why I am always searching for different elements to bring into the work.”

"Canton Olive and Gold" Pop-Art Americana Star Contemporary Oil/ 23K Gold Leaf
By Charlotte Andry Gibbs
Located in Wellesley, MA
Charlotte Gibbs’ "flag" and "star" paintings often reference the artist's interest in Pop art and sometimes incorporate 23 karat gold leaf in addition to oil paint, but not always. With its depiction of a detail of the graphically idealized stars of the American flag in gold leaf against an olive ground, "Canton Olive and Gold" is at once lovely and bold. Beautifully painted and exquisitely executed, these elegant works of rich color are sophisticated examples of Gibbs' ability to invoke whimsy while demanding serious attention, and the artist's simple natural wood double lattice frame is the perfect complement.

"Alts iz farloyrn" ("All is lost")
"Alts iz Farloyrn” – the latest series by John Paul Fauves featuring large-scale mixed media paintings, sculptures, and his famous art masks.
Inspired by American idols James Dean and Steve McQueen, "Alts iz Farloyrn,” which translates to "All is Lost," was Steve McQueen’s first ever line on stage and represents Fauves own struggle with losing it all yet discovering his true self. “Alts iz Farloyrn” dives deep into the darkness that surrounded James Dean and Steve McQueen and explores their need to live fast. Through this new series, viewers are reminded that although both men overcame challenges to become the Hollywood elite, they struggled to mentally escape their troubled childhood and demons.
Recognized internationally for his Neo-Pop Expressionism, Fauves paintings deal with identity through art, mainstream culture and social media. About this series, Fauves says “I have personally lost it all and what I’ve learned is when you lose it all you can win it all again and create a new beginning!”

"Stars and Stripes" Americana Pop 23 Karat Gold Leaf/Red/Blue Oil, Flag Painting
By Charlotte Andry Gibbs
Located in Wellesley, MA
"Stars and Stripes"
23 Karat Gold Leaf and Oil on Linen
26 x 50 Inches
Charlotte Gibbs’ "flag" and "star" paintings often reference the artist's interest in Pop art and sometimes incorporate 23 karat gold leaf in addition to oil paint, but not always. With its depiction of a graphically idealized American flag.
"Stars and Stripes" is at once lovely and bold. Beautifully painted and exquisitely executed, these elegant works of rich color are sophisticated examples of Gibbs' ability to invoke whimsy while demanding serious attention, and the artist's simple distressed white wood double lattice frame is the perfect complement.
Also available is a smaller version of this painting, "American Standard" 18 x 34 inches, as well as a vertical variation "Vertical U.S. Flag" 34 x 18 inches. Additional variations of the American flag series are available without 23 karat gold leaf ("Reverse Image" in black and white, "Flag #4" in black, white and tan, and "Black and White" which is
black, gray and white).
The artist's "Canton" series of paintings focuses on stars only. Paintings from this series are available in navy blue with gold leaf stars ("Canton Major" 34 x 48 Inches), olive drab with gold leaf stars ("Canton Olive and Gold" 30 x 42 Inches), and all 23 karat gold leaf ("Starry Splendor" 30 x 42 Inches).
Gibbs is often commissioned to paint variations on her 'flags' and 'stars' to customize scale, orientation (horizontal or vertical) palette, and/or symbols of particular significance to the client.
Additionally available are flag paintings in various sizes inspired by the British flag with and without 23 karat gold leaf ("Sgt. Pepper Jack," "Union Jack Red and Gold," "Union Jack Navy and Gold," and "Union Jack White and Gold"), the Scottish flag...
