American, b. 1941
Dan Ramirez was born in 1941. He studied at the Art Institute of Chicago and has been commissioned by the city of Chicago for works at McCormick Place, as well as shown nationally and abroad. Ramirez is featured in the collections of numerous major museums, including the Art Institute of Chicago, The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, MOCRA, St. Louis, MO., The Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, Sedalia, Mo. and Fundacio Llorens Artigas, Gallifa, Spain. There are numerous books and publications on his work.
