This is a very good early coffee cup by the Derby factory, made in the late 18th century, George 3rd period, circa 1785.
The body of the cup has incised vertical twist flutes and sits on a low foot, with a plain loop handle.
It is beautifully decorated with gilt rims and scattered Chantilly sprigs with one in the base of the cup. The handle also has a hand gilded pattern.
This pattern is number 129 and is listed on page 292 of John Twitchett's book; Derby Porcelain, 1748-1848, published by The Antique Collectors Club.
The cup is fully marked to the base with the crown and crossed batons painted in puce, with the pattern number 129 below.
