Colombian, b. 1948
Dora Franco began her artistic career as a fashion model in her country Colombia, work that she continued in Europe and New York, where she posed for artists such as Salvador Dalí and Richard Avedon among many others. Her interest in the arts led her to study Fine Arts at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá and at the Art Institute of San Francisco, where she began her career as a fashion, beauty, and interior design photographer.
