Dora Franco Portrait Photography
Colombian, b. 1948
Dora Franco began her artistic career as a fashion model in her country Colombia, work that she continued in Europe and New York, where she posed for artists such as Salvador Dalí and Richard Avedon among many others.
Her interest in the arts led her to study Fine Arts at the Universidad de Los Andes in Bogotá and at the Art Institute of San Francisco, where she began her career as a fashion, beauty, and interior design photographer.
Franco's work has been published in Hello, Vogue Spain, Harper’s Bazaar, Vanidades, and many other publications.
Two of her photographs are part of the permanent collection of the National Museum of Colombia.

Capuchin 3 - Signed limited edition archival pigment print - Edition of 10
A series of three portrait images of a Capuchin monkey in a stylised painterly style. This portraits are inspired by my fascination with animal intelligence.

Considered the most intelligent monkeys, the Capuchin has learnt to use stones...
