Crystalline Glaze Ceramic Ikebana Vase, Blue, American Studio Pottery, 2003
Located in Clifton Springs, NY
The vintage studio pottery ceramic ikebana vase is decorated with crystalline glaze in striking, bright blue and yellow palette. The vase was hand thrown on a wheel; blue color crystals on muted yellow colored base were grown in a kiln during a very long, controlled firing. The opening is placed asymmetrically on the side of the vase and is outfitted with flower frog.
The vase was made by Wizards of Clay...

Located in West Palm Beach, FL

Exemplifying the rich tradition of American art pottery, this vessel features a lustrous high-gloss glaze applied in broad, organic vertical strokes of turquoise, deep cobalt blue, and earthy maroon. Its robust, bulbous silhouette tapers to a gently flared rim, creating a form that is both rustic and substantial. Measurements are 5.75 inches in diameter and 6.5 inches in height. The vase is in great vintage condition, retaining its glossy sheen and vivid coloration. Minor scuffs, glaze skips, or surface irregularities consistent with age and the manufacturing process may be present, enhancing its authentic vintage patina.
