ABOUT Gastone Rinaldi
Gastone Rinaldi was born in Padua in 1920, and graduated in accounting at the Belzoni Institute. Initially he worked for the Rima company in via Guido Reni in Padua, founded by his father Mario Rinaldi in 1916.
In his work as a designer he came into contact with many of the major Italian designers, including Giò Ponti, Carlo Mollino, Alberto Rosselli, Franco Campo and Carlo Graffi, Michele De Lucchi and Marco Zanuso. In 1954 he won the Compasso d'Oro Award with the DU30 chair produced by Rima.
