Elio Mazzella Abstract Prints

b. 1938

Elio Mazzella followed his father's footsteps, an artist who was a pupil of Michele Cammarano. Elio Mazzella's career is punctuated by numerous participations in high-level exhibits, including in Rome in 1966 at the Palazzo delle Esposizioni. Followed by exhibitions in Naples, at the Galleria Schettini in 1975, in Brescia, Abba in 1976 and again in Naples, Zodiaco in 1977. His research on cement, the main material of industrial civilization, is very interesting and original. He participated in the 54th Venice Biennale, and in 2010 he was included in the small group of artists present at the Museo del Novecento in Castel Sant’Elmo, Naples. Since 1990, he has also devoted himself to sculpture and has created many works, using war relics of the last conflict. His Ghosts of War have been particularly successful and appreciated by the most qualified critics.
