Erzsebet Szabo Lighting
Szabo is a glass designer, Merited Artist, and a representative of the Hungarian studio glass movement. Born in Budapest in 1935, during her studies, she was a student of the glass artist Júlia Báthory, who had returned from Paris, at the High School of Fine and Applied Arts and the College of Applied Arts (UMPRUM) in Prague in 1963-1964. In the following years, she was able to study in Venice and was given the opportunity to experiment with technology as an invited employee of the Düren glass factory (Peill&Putzler) in Germany.Her works can be found in the British Museum and Victoria Albert Museum, London; Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris; Musée du Verre, Liege; Düsseldorf Kunstmuseum; Museum of Applied Art, Prague; Museum of Applied Arts, Budapest.
