This painting is in excellent condition and has only been shown in a gallery setting. Torres Aleu was born in Cadiz, Spain and has been painting from a very young age. In 1952 his talent was recognized by family members and he began his formal training in art. During his education and training, he studied under the Spanish professor, Mr. Francisco Prieto, a Gold National Medal Landscape Artist. Aleu began painting professionally when he completed his school training in 1960. Since this time he has exhibited in galleries, including Galeries Des Verges, Switzerland, in 1991 and 1992, Galerie Castegliani, Roma, Italy, in 1993, Galerie Soria, Chateauroux, France, in 1995, and Galerie Hispaluz, Concepcion, Chile in 1996 and 1997. Awards received by Aleu include Premio Provincial De Cadiz, Cadiz, in 1957, Premio Nacional De San Fernando, Cadiz, in 1972 and Premio Caga De Ahorros De Jerez, Cadiz in 1973. The Public library in San Fernando, Cadiz and the County Council Office in Cadiz display Aleu’s work. Christopher Clark's "Paris Rainy Cafe" is an original, hand made oil and acrylic painting that depicts a night scene of a bustling cityscape in France. Christopher has been an artist since early childhood, when he would watch Bob Ross on PBS and mimic the famed oil painter’s art with crayons.
