Gianfranco Asveri was born in Fiorenzuola D’Arda, Italy, in 1948. The artist lives and works at Gasperini on the hills between Parma and Piacenza with his beloved dogs.
He began to paint in 1969. His first work was merely figurative. In the 1980s he moved closer to the “Art Brut” style.
Renowned in Italy, Asveri has just finished a solo exhibition in Genoa at the Medioeval “Commenda” and will be presented in Paris next February during the Contemporary Art Fair in Port de Versailles.
Recently, the newspaper “Il Sole 24 Ore” (The Italian Economic newspaper) included Asveri among the artists to watch in terms of investment in the Italian Art Market.
An appreciable number of famous critics have written essays about his works: Paolo Bledinger, Luca Beatrice, Flaminio Gualdoni and Martina Corgnati.

Jeff Hudson's paintings come from his life experiences, and trust in the power and beauty of color harmonies and fragile structure to make a visual statement of pleasure for the mind and soul.
Hudson went to The School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston 1968-1973 where he studied all mediums and focused on large color field painting. He also had access to video equipment and made video Art. In 1974 he was hired along with Jane Hudson to start the Video Performance department at the Museum School and taught for 30 years and was always involved in fine art everyday. Hudson's works embraced the modern and Postmodern.
Jeff played in a Punk band The Rentals and a New Wave band Jeff and Jane Hudson. They played all the venues in NYC and Boston and released a number of records. (they have been re- released and are on ITunes.)

Contemporary American ceramic artist Richard Hirsch's encaustic Painting of Nothing #62 is made of ceramic raw materials, dry pigment and wax. This piece is part of his ongoing Painting of Nothing Series. Hirsch applies the waxy mix with a brush onto redwood plywood backed structures with two-inch wood strips all around and used various torches to layer, flux, bubble and blend. "Waxy and very tactile, they are probably the work Mark Rothko would have done had he spent most of his life in clay. Hirsch’s paintings have the nuance, subtle texture, and color shifts that become evident in blown-up photographs of his ceramic objects as well as a similar presence." Richard Hirsch brief bio:
In the field of contemporary ceramic, Rick Hirsch has earned an international reputation. He has achieved this recognition by engaging in numerous diversified professional activities. Through efforts in university teaching, exhibits, writing, lecturing and researching he has risen to worldwide prominence.
In 1975, Hirsch co-authored a book entitled Raku, published by Watson-Guptill. This was the first comprehensive text to address the new innovations developing in the west that were transforming traditional Japanese Raku. Also, in the same year, Hirsch became a founding faculty member of The Program in Artistry at Boston University. Currently, Hirsch is a Professor Emeritus at The School for American Crafts which is a part of Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. His university teaching career now spans well over four decades.
