An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver bachelor teapot; an addition to our silver teaware collection This fine antique George V sterling silver bachelor teapot has an oval can shaped form. The surface of this sterling silver teapot is plain and embellished with the contemporary bright cut engraved crests of a stag's head erased and an eagle's head recursant, couped. The upper rim and base of the teapot is encompassed with applied bead decorated borders. The upper plateau is embellished with a bright cut engraved undulating border. This sterling teapot is fitted with a domed hinged cover and retains the original carved stained wood and hallmarked sterling silver finial; the finial secures to the interior of the cover with a hallmarked screw fitment. This fine teapot is fitted with the original plain C-shaped carved stained wood handle fitted to plain cylindrical sockets. This exceptional antique teapot has a plain tapering cylindrical spout.
