Gregorian Copper is known for its Arts and Crafts style, hand-hammered copper pieces, popular in the mid-20th century. Produced by the Gregori brothers, P.R. Gregori and Fred Gregori from 1946 until 1968. This particular piece displays a unique patination, a hallmark of aged copper. Gregorian pieces were often finished with a special bluing process and hand-rubbed with steel wool to achieve a specific solid or satin finish and then lacquered to retain their color.
