Gilles Mendel apprenticed with his father in their family’s famous Paris atelier before stepping into the role of creative director in 1981. Known for their luxury furs, Gilles expanded J. Mendel with the launch of his first ready-to-wear collection in 2002, and has since evolved the house to include a bridal line, accessories, and home decor. Gilles was awarded the prestigious CFDA award in 2003, and his designs have been worn by royalty and hollywood stars including the likes of Nicole Kidman and Olivia Munn. This J.
