The surface of each rounded handle is embellished with a pip to the terminal, in addition to the contemporary engraved initial 'A'. Each silver spoon, fork and ladle features rat tail ornamentation to the reverse. The original silver forks have three tines/prongs; these are highly desirable. The table and dessert knives, in addition to the fish service and carving service, are fitted with composite handles, embellished with the original stained initials 'A'; this initial reflects that engraved to the spoons, forks and ladles. The table and dessert knives are fitted with stainless steel blades bearing the mark 'Harrods Ld, G.H. Knightsbridge.S.W., Stainless'. This exceptional sterling silver English cutlery set is fitted to a veneered walnut lift up lid canteen box, with a velvet lined interior.
