This exceptional antique George V sterling silver tea service has been modelled in the Queen Anne style. The lower portion of each piece is embellished with embossed batwing decoration. The upper portion of each piece of this silver tea set is plain and unembellished. The teapot is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover embellished with further batwing decoration to the domed portion and is surmounted with the original carved painted wood and sterling silver fluted, cushion shaped finial. The teapot retains the original angular carved painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. The teapot is fitted with a swan necked spout ornamented with further embossed batwing decoration to the lower portion. An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver Louis spirit kettle; an addition to our antique silver teaware collection This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver Louis spirit kettle has a baluster form. The surface of this antique silver kettle is embellished with exceptional chased floral sprays accented with scrolling leaf borders. The decoration to the kettle incorporates a large scroll bordered shaped vacant cartouche to either side. This antique silver kettle is fitted with a hinged hallmarked cover encircled with further chased floral decoration with a cast and applied scrolling border to the shaped rim. The cover is surmounted with the exceptional and original fine and impressive cast sterling silver finial realistically modelled in the form of an eagle; the finial secures to the interior with a screw fitment. This exceptional example of antique teaware is fitted with an impressive sterling silver handle ornamented with impressive central flat chased foliate design to the handpiece, incorporating an oval vacant cartouche. The handle is further ornamented with impressive opposing scrolling terminals in junction with the body. The exceptional kettle detaches from the original hallmarked cast sterling silver stand, supported by three impressive opposing scrolling legs accented with bifurcating upper terminals. The upper portion of the stand is embellished with impressive pierced decorated scrolling leaf designs. The stand incorporates a plain scrolling frame which retains the original hallmarked detachable spirit burner; the burner is encircled with bands of thread decoration.
