Li Lei Paintings

Li Lei was born in 1965 in Shanghai. In 1976, he attended the People’s Fine Arts Course and at 10 years, he had already won a prize in the national fine arts contest for amateurs organized by CCTV. In 1980, he entered the applied art class of Huashan Fine Arts Vocational School. His first exhibition and publication was in 1982 when the decorative paintings were included in “Shanghai Fine Arts Exhibition” and published in Shanghai Literature. In 1983, he entered the Shanghai Fine Arts Design Company and after some years, he participated in the “Shanghai Youth Biennale” and the “Shanghai International Art Festival” at the Shanghai Art Museum. At the age of 25, he participated in the “Fifth Taiwan International Print Art Biennale” in Taipei Fine Arts Museum. From this moment started his success in the art field, participating in a lot of exhibitions and shows and starting a new kind of oil painting. In the following years, he organized and participated in a lot of exhibitions around the world: China, Korea, The Netherlands, Germany, USA and more. In 2005, he became executive manager of the Shanghai Art Museum. He once held the post of Shanghai oil painting sculpture courtyard executive vice-president. In 1996, his creations include "Imperial Sacrifices Flower" the series, "Recalled Chiangnan" the series, "Image Military yi" the series, "Is drunk Lake" the series and so on. Li Lei’s works reside in many town collections in Beijing and Shanghai in China, New York, USA, Frankfurt and Linz in Germany, Amsterdam and Bork Smale in The Netherlands and Brussels in Belgium.
