Lutz Weiss Barware
In 1882, Karl-Wilhelm Lutz and Friedrich Weiss became partners set up a company manufacturing silverware, gold silver chains. Before the end of the century, the company was a leading manufacturer of silverware cutlery. The company was located in Pforzheim, the gateway to the Black Forest. This city is famous as the center of jewelry making, so much so that it was known colloquially as Goldstadt (Golden City). The name of this firm is familiar to many collectors, especially those who adore Art Nouveau.
