Eva s Legacy, Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova
Located in Zofingen, AG
This painting is an attempt to blend ancient symbols, contemporary understanding of feminine essence, and profound philosophical contemplations inspired by existentialism and phenomenology. The woman, represented in the image of Eve, stands as an eternal symbol of the beginning of life and the mother of all humanity. Symbols on her body, derived from the idols of the Trypillian culture, speak to the age-old connection of our people with nature, land, and spirituality. The Tree of Life with its apples embodies the immortal bond with lineage and ancestors, as well as a reflection on existence, self-awareness in the world, and relations with others. Existentialist and phenomenological philosophies emphasize individual experience and perception of the world, which are perfectly captured in this painting. Each apple represents a memory passed down from generation to generation, a reminder of roots that deeply reach into the history of our people, and contemplations about our place in the universe. Whispers of Ancestry , Figurative original painting by Tetiana Pchelnykova
Located in Zofingen, AG
In the evocative stillness of "Whispers of Ancestry," the latest painting in my "Thoughts" series, I present a young woman seated, her knees drawn up to her chest in a gesture of contemplation and self-protection. Her bare form speaks not just of vulnerability but of the raw canvas of humanity, unshielded and sincere. This image captures a moment of introspection, where the silence around her is rich with the echoes of ancestral wisdom. The apple trees, heavy with crimson fruit, bend towards her as if to share the stories and lessons imbued by generations past. Their red apples are like whispers of knowledge, symbols of the life force passed down through time, offering both sustenance and reflection. The woman's dreamy gaze suggests she is not just recalling her own experiences but also accessing the collective memory and spirit of her lineage. In this piece, the apple trees serve as a bridge between the present and the whispers of history, reminding us that we are forever rooted in the stories of those who came before us. "Whispers of Ancestry" is a homage to the continuum of life, an artistic meditation on the interconnectedness of our individual journeys with the enduring legacy of our forebears. It is an invitation to the viewer to listen to the whispers of their own heritage and to find strength in the shared wisdom that has weathered the passage of time.
